The ryokan's location is convenient, near a big street, yet peaceful due to a little stream. the tatami room had modern amenities and attention to detail, including a yukata in various colors and patterns. the staff was friendly and attentive, with enough English to communicate. the garden and outdoor bath were picturesque.
One staffer's lack of English proficiency caused confusion during payment and showed the need for more training with foreign guests.

We had a great time during our city trip and enjoyed our stay at this traditional Japanese hotel. The staff was very welcoming and explained everything to us despite our language barriers. They even provided instructional books for the different baths and offered pickup from the nearby transit stop. The outdoor and indoor baths were relaxing and the yukatas provided added to our experience. The highlight was the delicious Kaiseki dinner spread which had descriptions in English making it easy for us to understand.
The hotel's location is near a busy street which led to some traffic noise. Unfortunately, because of the heavy rain, we couldn't explore the surrounding areas of the hotel.

The traditional Japanese experience was fantastic and made the visit to the city even better. the food was delicious and beautifully presented, with a lot of personal touches that made the dinner even better. the location was splendid, with a peaceful and serene atmosphere that helped to unwind and relax after a long day of exploring the city.
The distance from the city, with a need to take a separate bus to get to the hotel. the breathtaking views during the ride made up for it and after a great night sleep, enjoyed the view again on the way back.
